Designed for Maintenance
The design of Key Monitor Systems utilises electronics modules so that in the event of equipment damage, the system can be returned to full operation as quickly as possible. The Key Monitor System software includes all system test and configuration functions required to test and repair system components.
User Training
The use of a graphical touch screen user interface, means that user training is trivial. The user touches the screen to activate the software, then enters a UserID via the onscreen keyboard. The user is then presented with a list of keys that are currently available to them. A key is selected from the list and the key is released and the door is openned.

Inappropriate configuration or connection of your Key Monitor System can cause system damage or loss of data. Do not make changes to your Key Monitor System without backing up your configuration data. Changes to power and data wiring should only be done by qualified personnel. Changes to security and network configurations and connections can affect other system within your organisation; do not change security and network configurations without advice from your security and IT support staff. Key Monitor Systems makes no warranty regarding the application of these procedures.
VNC Control of the Key Monitor System AN006 VNC Setup
VNC is a remote control system used to duplication the Key Monitor System display on your PC and allow you to operate the Key Monitor System remotely (using your PC keyboard and mouse). When the Key Monitor System is operated in this way, anyone looking at the Key Monitor System will see what you are doing. You can release keys using VNC remote control.
The VNC server on the Key Monitor System is a reduced functionality version of the system used on PCs. As such it is not auto-configuring. VNC is normally only used during system setup in order to make data entry more convenient. The VNC connection does not provide any additional functionality. All operations are still performed on the Key Monitor System by software on the Key Monitor System.
